OK so maybe it's the hormones but...

The lyrics to 100 Years to Live makes me teary eyed now and especially when it's played while our fifth graders from school are being shown as kinders and it hits me my daughter will be a fifth grader next year and it seems just yesterday she was so little...Anywho, here are the lyrics to the song that makes me a mess these days when I hear it lol...

I'm 15 for a moment
Caught in between 10 and 20
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
I'm 22 for a moment
She feels better than ever
And we're on fire
Making our way back from Mars
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to lose
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
I'm 33 for a moment
Still the man, but you see I'm a they
A kid on the way
A family on my mind
I'm 45 for a moment
The sea is high
And I'm heading into a crisis
Chasing the years of my life
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy, Time to lose yourself
Within a morning star
15 I'm all right with you
15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live
Half time goes by
Suddenly you’re wise
Another blink of an eye
67 is gone
The sun is getting high
We're moving on...
I'm 99 for a moment
Dying for just another moment
And I'm just dreaming
Counting the ways to where you are
15 there's still time for you
22 I feel her too
33 you’re on your way
Every day's a new day...
15 there's still time for you
Time to buy and time to choose
Hey 15, there's never a wish better than this
When you only got 100 years to live

23 Ways to go Green...

  1. Recycle all the paper, plastic, glass, and metal products you can (you know those blue bins love to have them)
  2. Always put litter in its proper place - garbage cans or recycling bins
  3. Write or draw on both sides of a piece of paper before recycling it
  4. Make a printout from your computer only if you really need it
  5. Use sponges, rags, and cloth napkins instead of paper products
  6. Carry your lunch in a reusable box or bag
  7. Bike, walk, or ride the bus instead of using a car
  8. Make sure your car tires are properly inflated
  9. Replace burnt out bulbs at home with compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs
  10. Turn off lights, computers, radios, and TV's when you leave a room
  11. Sit near a window when you read instead of turning on a light during the day
  12. Wash clothes in cold water and hang them out to dry (if you can)
  13. Don't use the dishwasher unless it's full
  14. Take short showers to save energy and water
  15. Turn off the faucet when you brush your teeth
  16. Put leftover food in reusable containers, not in plastic wrap or foil
  17. Wash and reuse glass jars, plastic containers, and plastic tableware
  18. When shopping, look for items made out of recycled materials
  19. Take along reusable shopping bags
  20. Mend and repair clothes & toys instead of buying new ones
  21. Create a compost pile of food scraps & plant cuttings
  22. Buy food from local farmers markets
  23. Volunteer for community Earth-Care events, such as a clean up at the park
OK, so I may not do all of these but here's 23 ideas, try and do some and see a bit of a difference. We recycle at home and much less goes into the regular trash. Our school has a compost and we bring fruit/veggie stuff there and again, less trash.

Took the day...

off. Figured it was a holiday so why not. So today is June 1st. I can't believe in 21 days L will be here and about a month from now my baby will be leaving for a sleep away camp. Time really does fly! I will miss my little girl so much and bond with my new baby boy. I'm so grateful again for the life I have today. I may not have everything I want but I have everything I need!
