It's official in a couple of hours we leave for Big Bear. I'm so excited to get out of town. I had a migraine yesterday so I'm not running this morning, too weak but I can't wait to get on the road.
Our cabin has a BBQ and I plan on BBQing some yummy lunches and dinners.
Friday we leave for Anaheim and are staying at the Hilton Suites (I booked it for $60.00) on Priceline (gotta love priceline) and Saturday I do my first run. Sure it's only the 5k and not the Half Marathon others are doing but I plan on attending the Half Marathon next year! We are then joining Lora & Baby Charlie for a day at Disneyland.
Sunday we are doing the memorial for my Aunt at the gardens. I feel at peace for her and I know she's in a better place.
Life should then be back to normal once we complete our adventures this week. I worked 14 days straight with camp, got a raise, and will come back to a lot of work after this week with school starting BUT I'm going to try and enjoy this week with my family and not get online. A week of just the three of us.
I will post a blog entry about our adventures sometime soon.....

Countdown to Disneyland Jog
I'm so excited and happy that I did 3.3 miles today in 31 minutes. I have to do it in under 45 minutes for the run at Disneyland I'm doing on the 30th.
I'm so glad I quit the gym. A trainer every other week, weights at home, and jogging out in the open is so much better then a gym.
The countdown has begun!!!

Our Family Mini Vacation
So we took a mini vacation to Las Vegas and Disneyland. I thought I'd share some of our pictures as it seems I have a hard time doing this on a regular basis...
Here we go...
Here is E being arrested by K in Calico. It was freezing cold there but here are a few more pics..
There was this house made of bottles that had a star of David on the side. Here is a shot of one side of the house
As we left Calico we blasted the heater and put the top down on the convertible we rented and K loved it
We then hit Vegas and here is a pic of the family at the Mirage. We went to the Dolphin and Lion/Tiger habitat there and it was very nice
On this trip K also went on her first rides upside down. Here is E and her right before going upside down and it would stop upside down, there was no way I was getting on that ride...ever
We saw Mystere at Treasure Island while we were there and K was a part of the show and the performers kept waving to her and smiling at her. I guess it pays to be in the front row. No pictures from there but we bought some I can scan for later....
Finally we were off to Disneyland. Here's some pics from there. We went to both Disneyland and California Adventure. I went on Tower of Terror for the first time and it was great! We also went on the new Nemo ride and had dinner at a French restaurant in the park.
We had a great day there and now were back to reality and life. Have a great week!

5k at Disneyland (:
So, I'm committed to the 5k run that is August 30th at Disneyland. The run itself is between California Adventure and Disneyland. Who wouldn't want to jog through both parks????
I'm so excited but I know I have to get into shape more.
I'm off to buy new headphones because my dear daughter took the covers off my headphones and when I tried to jog home from her school, well, they wouldn't stay in my ears.
Once I buy the headphones I'm off to the gym (:
I know that next week with my surgery I may not be ready to go and jog right away but I plan on jogging more often to work up to my three mile jog. This I know is not much to some but for someone whose lost over 100 lbs. it's a big deal.
I can't wait to do the run! Go Disneyland! Anything to make me interested lol.

The Holidays & Disneyland
Yes, it's been a while since I've updated my blog. I've been super busy and mostly sick but I actually have a few minutes to do a couple of posts.
The Holidays were great! We went to Disneyland for my birthday and had a blast. You would think on Christmas Eve it would be packed but it wasn't. It was so nice to be there (:
Kaila got to go on all the rides and we took turn sitting with her on rides. We even all got ears that were different...
Christmas was great too! We are blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives. We started at my sisters where we spent time with our family. The kids all opened gifts. Then we were off to a good friends where we spent time with her and her mother. It was then off to my mothers for Christmas lunch and finally off to our close family friends who we had dinner with and spent the most time with. The kids had a wonderful time.
It was a great Holiday...Here's some pictures that stood out to me:
